So I saw The Movie.I enjoyed it. I like that there's still a drive somewhere in Hasbro to make epic fantasy happen in the FiM universe. The results of this vary somewhat, but as long as they're trying, good things have a chance to happen.
I intially saw "Tempest" in the teaser, and thought to myself "A broken horn? Red and black? Gosh, they went full edgelord!" When I saw her on the big screen though, she stole the show. Her performance is on point. So much care went into her design and animation. I can see it in all her little tics, like when she stares into the distance for a split second and you can almost see her think, or how she is just so done with her boss, and her minions, and all the other dimwits that stand in her way.
And then that song. She's what they tried to do with Starlight, but so much better.
Fizzlepop needs hugs.
In about a week I'll be at the last Nightmare Nights Dallas. If you're coming, drop by and say hi!

there's not much I could add actually, the lightning is pretty darn good and colors are well balanced, values could be different here and there to add more depth and clarity, but, it's pretty great in general.

Oh hi! Thanks! It's good to hear something good about this. I'm kinda down on it myself because the proportions gave me a lot of trouble while I was making it, and the face doesn't look very good to me now that I've done more sketches. It does have pretty strong temperature contrasts tho, what with the blue light from her horn and the red everything else.

ive been busy w school and stuff, yeah sorry i havent been around, my online presence just drooped a lot since im always busy ish, but im still drawing a lot tho, improving little by little, ive been into furry art a lot recently so im learning new stuff, kinda overwhelming sometimes tho

indeed she needs hugs this is why I got her from build a bear. I knew the moment I saw the trailers she'd be redeemed it was just so obvious. now she has friends and maybe one day her horn will be fixed but at least till then she can party with pinkie and get a nice non edgy dress from rarity.

Not of a fan of the name Fizzlepop? I read one brony somewhere on here suggest the nickname "Fizzy". I think it suits the shocking power of her horn.
I agree the character is very nicely done. I wonder if they will include her in the show....

Oh no, I do quite like her name, and for that very reason. It fits her 'ability' quite well.
I don't expect we'll see much of her in the show if she does appear, since it'd get pretty expensive to bring in Emily Blunt all the time to voice her.

One would say Tempest was main character. Mane six was pretty invisible and unable to do anything. I spoted that in latest seasons they make the Mane six more and more weak.

Nad draws the scene with the moody backlighting confirmed. She's a very good horse and I ended up liking her a lot more than I thought I would too. This is a great piece, IT'LL MAKE A FINE ADDITION TO MY COLLECTION.
