☼ Prologue ☼
It is said that hundreds of years ago, there was once Light within the kingdom of Hyrule. A sun blazed high in the sky and illuminated the land, extinguishing all darkness that came across its brilliant face and painting the world in every color imaginable. There was peace and order that staved back the chaos, and the citizens had a magnificent queen that was just and fair. For them, every day was one to look forward to.
In truth, such a tale is all that the people can cling to now, for ever since the Light was dispersed oh so long ago, there has been little to no sunlight, no peace, no kingdom, and no queen to be heard of. For three hundred years the people of Hyrule have adapted to a blackened world of despair and sorrow, doing whatever they can to generate light and allowing the memories of happier days to waste away in the darkest recesses of their minds.
