New city? I forget..where are you? Where were you before? I didn't even know.

TEACHING is fine and all. I'm still a substitute but I'm going back to finish the credential program this year.  I'm pretty happy because I just finished illustrating this children's book for somebody. I mean, that sounds bigger than it is, it was a really low-paying small time job but I'm so happy to have...made something, you know? I'm not sure if I'll continue with illustration but I think I'll give it a good college try. So in other words, guess I've been pretty busy? TOO BUSY.

ohh i moved from baltimore to denver! i used to live in CO as a kid so i'm loving it so far.

and omg illustrating a children's book sounds amazinggg, i feel like i would find it really hard, illustrating a book is no joke! you should share the title and stuff with us when it gets released! what grade years do you teach, if they're the right age you could like read it to them and ish and be like I DREW DIS loll

Oh thank goodness, you're back in the warm weather. Right? Is there lots of nature around you? CANYONS AND RED ROCK? That's all i see in my imagination. 

Lollllllll awww you flatter me, but it was my first one so...MAYBE when I feel more confident about what I'm doing I'll let the world of deviantart know about it. But for now I'm gonna just illustrate secretly in a dark corner in a basement, underneath a single lightbulb strung up from the ceiling rafters. Hunched over my work and jumping at the slightest sound. That's the life I want for me.
I actually teach high school so..they'd be like omgosh get that stuff out of my face who do you think we are
But maybe someday when I have my own art class..sigh.

Out of curiosity, do you still keep in contact with any of those old paintchat folks? Wait...were you part of the nikos paintchat group? Or were you just the livejournal group
