*I now do commissions!*I will first be opening up sketches at $5.00 US dollars each, or $8.00 US dollars for a completed piece. Obviously, if you'd like it in color, that's a possibility...just let me know if you're interested in receiving something in color.
For now, I'm just testing the waters as it were...but I plan to expand upon this as I go.
Paypal is of course acceptable, but I will also accept US Money Orders.

This fan art piece is for ~hawkeye having won the traditional art portion of the March Reverse A DCU Character Contest at the ~DCU-Club .
This is just my version of the DC comics character Hawkgirl, and not of any specific version of the character. I just wanted to have some fun with her costume, and change a lil' here 'n there. In the Cartoon network cartoon she's a member of the Justice League, and in the comics she's a member of the Justice Society. She's been around in many forms since the early 1940s.

Well after all, you did request her, and I didn't want to disappoint you! People always seem to be afraid to draw wings, but there's many ways of tackling them...I'm just glad you like how I did it! As to her costume, I liked certain things about all of her various styles...so I added what I liked, but definately took some liberties of my own! This piece so totally rocks! That pretty much sums it up. That is the coolest freaking pose and you have a really nice range of value in there. Her expression and detail is amazing! Great wing spread too. I like the added touches of a few fallen feathers below. Fabulous, fabulous job, Hon! I wan't wait to see more. :clapping:

Well, as I really wasn't pleased with how the Red Hood came out(to generic looking, I think), I really wanted Hawkgirl to kick some major booty! I have a character name Sera, who used to always be covered up to her neck in bandages [link] , so I kinda' knew how I was gonna' tackle H-Girl's as well! I always feel that weapons look to "clean" in comics, so I added many a battle scar on the mace cause she's always hitting stuff with it...so it's gonna' get a lil' scuffed up! I really liked how this piece turned out, so to see that you like this one so much and the great and nice things you said...well, it really means a lot to me, so thank you very much my friend!

Yes, she does look rather cool don't she? I saw a comic of hers at the local comic shop, and the feathers were drawn like crap! It looked so un-professional, I couldn't believe that that was the cover! Thanks ever so much for the comment!
