I also don't go on as often as i used to and don't check my note too much. Um.. I would suggest either asking family and friends to help fund you, if you have a job set aside a certain amount from your paycheck that you do not touch, that might take a while but it works. Or start a 'go fund me'. What's the reason you want to go to india? my friend made her goal with a go fund me to get her to New Zealand.

Very lovely.Β
The only reason why most Egyptians didn't want red hair was because it was associated with Seth, the god of chaos.

You seem to know much about Egyptians so why was it rare to have blonde hair and red? Also beautiful drawing you captured everything nicely.

Thank you!
First I would suggest getting an art tablet, mines is a Wacom Intuos tablet small. It may be small but it works just fine. Tablets aren't the cheapest, but it's not very easy to do it with the mouse. Better control with the pen. I use the free program GIMP 2. It has everything i need to color.Β I also know of several other digital artist who use it so you don't need to go out and spend too much on something like Photoshop or Corel Painter. And just start playing around with the program before any serious paintings.. I used GIMP before i started painting with it, just to do edits to pictures or to put pictures together and that sort of thing. Also you could do what i'm doing and practice on line arts to get the hang of blending things and such before doing a drawing of your own. You already have a very good grasp of of technique, shades, and color from working with physical mediums. I think everyone should get to know what they're doing in the hand on stuff before moving to digital.. it makes things alot easier. Cause then you're just learning how to use another tool.

Wacom Intuos Tablet - Check (My boyfriend gave me one for my last birthday... That was back in december, but I never got the time to use it so far...)
GIMP - Check (I use it for everything I do digitally, for example for photo editing and so on...)
So it seems all I need is time to try out things. I think I'll start with linearts as you've suggested, but I don't know how to start with coloring. Maybe I should look if there are some good tutorials here or at youtube...?

Actually most of the 18th and 19th dynasty pharaohs were red-heads and blondes. The natives of north Africa were described by the Egyptians as having red hair and blue eyes. They were identified as the people of Set, the God of destruction and chaos.Β It wasn't until the Roman period that the population of Northern Africa began to become what it is today. Egypt was a little different. According to Zahi Hawiss the genetic component of Egypt today is 95% compatible with the genetic component of the "pyramid age."
