this here's my lil entry to the recently held Philippine ToyConvention's Batman Fan Art Contest.

the rule was to come up with an interpretation of the character as the Dark Knight. I was pretty much aware that a lot of the entries will be focusing on the Bat-Joker theme because of the upcoming Dark Knight movie, i decided to take the other route and draw up Bats taking the fight and just demolishing his rogue gallery...all in their The Batman animated design.

the contest was preannounced a month ago, but i was only able to work on this just this friday (you all know how hectic life have been...and is continuing to be for me ). i knew time was against me, so i had to compromise a little with the coloring (and even some inking)....and it even came to a point where i was bout to give up and just rip the artwork cause of the frustration...good thing i didn't...

for a rushed piece...i luckily ended up placing 2nd place in the competition. not bad, considering there were quite some good pieces i was up against. lucky me i guess (also, i was the last one to ever submit my entry...AS IN SUPER LATE!

so what did i get, sadly, just some freebies from a sponsor gaming company. yes, it's weird aint it! a bat competition with no bat prize. i was a bit disheartened. thank God for a funky trophy i went home with (i'll post some pics of the event along with that piece of hardearned glass soon)

anyways, gotta get back to graphic designs again. hope you guys enjoy this lil artwork....

oh, and great meeting the talented Mr. Harvey Tolibao (StarWars, IronMan Annual, Avengers) didn't know i was talking to him the whole time he spotted me holding my BatArt. thanks for the awesome comments, Harvs!
