Description
Here are some more Titanesses!
Mnemosyne: The Titaness of memory. Zeus came to her in the guise of a shepherd and by him she became the mother of the nine Muses, the goddesses who inspired creativity. Mnemosyne herself was thought to give the power of authoritative speech to poets.
Themis: The Titaness of divine law and order. She had the power to foresee the future and was the second goddess to preside over the Oracle at Delphi, her mother Gaia being the first. She is often depicted holding a sword which symbolized her ability to sever fact from fiction. Themis was said to have been a wife of Zeus before Hera, and through the union became mother of the Horae.
Phoebe: The Titaness of prophecy, Phoebe inherited the Oracle at Delphi from her sister Themis, which she would later give to her grandson Apollo. She was married to Coeus, the Titan of rational intelligence. They had two daughters, Asteria, the goddess of falling stars and the mother of the witchcraft goddess Hecate, and Leto, goddess of motherhood and mother of the twins Artemis and Apollo.
