St. John Parish Church- As Time goes byPencil on Stonehenge paper 11''x 14'' original
Ah yes.....my favourite media to work with
I love pencils. I decided to challenge myself with a realistic pencil piece for my first group exhibition. It took me over a month to draw and I absolutely loved doing all the little details (the tree was insane! >_<). I decided to call it "As time goes by" because of all the mold and mildew that has formed on the church yet it has added a new dynamic to how the church looks. To some people the church looks disgusting, but to me I saw so many different images forming within the mold that I thought was awesome and I believed it would translate beautifully in realistic pencil.
Tell me what you guys think about this piece!
This was done for the group exhibition "Strokes of the Future 11-11-11" in my country Barbados.

Great piece--I like the viewpoint that soars upwards with the architecture, and you've rendered the different textures, especially the foreground tree, with much skill.
