Just because they may look a little uneasy doesn't mean they aren't happy with each other. It's like maybe Shining is stressed and Cadence is concerned and trying to comfort him.
I love this picture! I will say though that I can't help but see Cadence as "holding" what kind of looks like a piece of bread in her front-left hoof.
