Description
With all the news coming out of RTX, I thought I'd get back into character design. So here we go.Name: Ikarus Naemiun
Weapon: Sunspot, a tesla crossbow that coverts into both a plasma energy whip and plasma armblade.
Semblance: Scorch, can surround himself in a wreath of thermal energy that can absorb heat from other sources and be projected out wards as a blast.
· Part of an Atlas weapons development project called Solus, Ikarus has access to some of the Kingdom's most advanced technology.
· While he has little experience fighting Grimm, having been trained to fight human combatants, he's more than a match for most varieties of the monsters.
· Since his Scorch Semblance incinerates the air around him, his suit comes with a personal oxygen supply.

The backstory makes he sound like kinda like an anti hero, fighting the heros due to the diferences between their plans and Atlas agenda

"Father" gave him his suit and his weapon, but gave him instructions on some specific way to use it. He disobeyed, and as such some tragedy occurred that was completely his fault, traumatizing him into whatever personality or character flaws you have set out for him?
This is not a condescending rant, this is a legitimate assumption I have about your character based around the myth of Icarus and the very little I've gleamed from the info given. The Greek myths are filled with excellent potential for RWBY bases, and Icarus and Dardalus are two of the best. I'm just wondering how much you followed it, if at all.

Honestly, I haven't figured out that much backstory for this guy. I have some ideas but mostly small stuff.
Also based on the comments I might be a running joke that everyone assumes he's a robot.

Some of it is the lack of skin, I'm sure, but for me I looked at his neck. If it looks like a thin metal bar compared to the head (which it does here) or is nonexistent (think drones or something) I assume it isn't a real head attached.
And really, a backstory as in-depth as a fully fleshed character requires will take time and effort, and constant revising. It's by far the hardest thing to make for any character simply because it is everything they are up to that point in time. I suggest you keep the details simple and small until you really figure out some deep plot-inducing history for him. Don't go too wild with the big picture until you have some dots to connect it to first.
