… What? Of course I know it’s October, you silly zombies~

I know that this Halloween-picture seriously lacks any spooky scary themes that you usually associate with Halloween, but I wanted to do something a little different from last year.
… Or maybe I just wanted an excuse to draw the turtle tots in bunny onesies.
Anything is possible.
And Spike gets to tag a long too, because "no turtle left behind".

Also, just for fun, I’ve taken the liberty of giving the mutated bunny-turtles appropriate rabbit-names.
Lapine (or Naylte) is the language of rabbits invented by the author Richard Adams who wrote the book “Watership Down”. The language in the book only had a few dozen of words, and one or two phrases, but some very dedicated fans with linguistic talents have developed it further.
So here’s what the turtles would possibly have been named, had they been wild rabbits instead of reptiles:

Leonardo = Ethilerah: Means literally “First” (Ethile) “Leader” (Rah). “Rah” is a suffix you add after your name to signify a chief or a prince. Which means that Leo’s birth name would simply be “Ethile” since he’s the first born in his litter, and then have the “Rah” added once he gained his position as leader.

Raphael = Nanghayuhl: Means literally “Leaf” (Nang) “Eye” (Hayuhl). He’s the only turtle with bright green eyes, which really pops in his appearance. Rabbits don’t have a word for “green”, and thus we’ll have to use a word that can represent that color instead.

Donatello = Hrayaothra: Means literally “Tunnel” (Hrayao) “Tooth” (Othra). Donnie’s most distinct characteristic is his gap tooth. Now, rabbits have no word for “gap” but they will understand what a tunnel is.

Michelangelo = Rusatiroo: Means literally “Little brother”.
Rusati is Lapine for brother, and Roo is a suffix meaning “little” or “small”. But knowing Mikey, he would of course want to name himself, and might have picked Kasrahrah (Trick-prince).
