Amazing! I love the particles in the air floating around her. So you'd recommend the 50mm over the 85mm for the D7000. Is that because the 50mm acts more like an 85mm on a DX body?

Yes it is acts like 85mm on DX. My 85mm is D series (without processor in lenses).
but nikkor 50mm 1.4G as u can see G-series - AF works faster and picture haven't chromatic abberations ( i hope

to use it for street photography

i think combination d7000 with 50mm 1.4g would better. More usual(for me) focal length and field of view. imho
Hope that image quality also better.
