Description This male Yellowthroat allowed us to watch him feed around some berry bushes (not for the berries - he was catching insects!). The sky was overcast at the time so the woods were dark - unfortunately any of the shots I got with lunch in his mouth are not great. In this shot, you can see how he got him name.

This is a nice picture! What kind of bird is it exactly? Watch out though, when taking pictures that u try to keep white clouds/sky in the background away from the bokeh. It would have been a better picture if the bokeh was evenly green (the white spot near the head disturbs the image a bit).
Nice sharpness in the picture overall. F5.6 was a good choice for this shot. What changes did u make in CS4? Highlights and some sharpening I reckon? To end the critique, the vertical shot was a good choice for this picture since all the lines in the pictureare vertical.
Nice job overal e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/sā€¦ " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>

Post work included a crop, noise removal (due to the high ISO) and sharpening on the bird. A fully green background could help this photo a lot. I debated cloning it out, but I don't do that too often. I have better composition on my backyard birds since they give me more time

Thanks for the critique! I appreciate your time and input!

Just saw my first this year. They're cool little birds...like all birds, lol. Nice catch. They're rather elusive!

Really nice shot!

They are hard to get to sit still.. always moving about the branches.

He was moving a lot, which made most of the photos blurry
