This ice halo I saw on January 22, 2004 around 15:41. I was driving back to Riga when I suddenly saw a rainbow (that is what I thought then) in the sky. Since I had a camera with me I stopped and took some photos.Related content

I was told that this effect is not rainbow but is callled "Halo". I searched net and found this nice explanation [link]

Wow, very nice! I wouldn't even think it was a rainbow, because both of the sides seem to go straight up.

Actually I don't know what is it. The colors were like in rainbow. Camera didn't capture all colors. Green and blue seems to be gone on photo but those colors were there.
