This is a brilliant photo.
I like the framing and how it works with the depth of field and focusing to create a maximum impact and such. The overall tone is interesting... Although it adds to the atmosphere and gives it quite a traditional/retro-like feel to things, almost, I feel it lacks a bit of contrast and definition, but that might just be me.
The concept is interesting and I like how the title gives us a direction in how we're meant to interpret this piece.

I know what you mean about the contrast. I was playing with it a bit, but I just didn't like how it looked. The reddish brown from the leaves looked way too harsh for my taste: I wanted something a bit softer. SO i left it like this.
