I leave here an analysis of the Trentney.
"The Trentney could be a good couple.
Trentney is a very good choice, he is a calm, patient type with a good heart showing love and admiration to the girl that he would be interested emotionally. He would be very romantic and dedicated to a strong woman like Courtney and she would appreciate his affection. She has also dealt with stress before she can help Courtney find ways to manage her own stress without using toxic methods.
In addition, in her biography, Trent is said to be an honors student with an established goal of what she wants to do in life (owning her own bike shop) of the future Granted she may not be well with her since she has high standards, but it would be a conflict that both could work positively. No parareja with some conflicts after all.

They have things in common, but they are totally opposite, Trent represents in part altruism towards others and Courtney represents partly selfishness for individualism.
Courtney is definitely a girl with a toxic side, is indisputable, like Stephanie, Emma or Josee, however these girls have couples that soften that toxic side, Ryan, Noah (boyfriends) and Jacques (friend and partner).
And that's what I think Courtney needs, someone who softens that passionate personality, not necessarily Trent has to be a boyfriend to accomplish that, who may well be friends at first.
I'm not naive, though Trentney has little chance, but I just want to offer an idea that could work positively and narratively for the characters, and of course it would not bring destructive conflict, bring the kind of conflict that leads to development and narrative increase.
In order not to appear forced and done fast, it would be good to interact with almost disgust, and slowly connect, a friendship is born, I do not want another forced couple, the Scottney was a clear example that by force, nothing is going well.
Otherwise, if Courtney and / or Trent returns, they deserve more development as solo characters, before coming in contact.
I do not want conflicts, beyond the necessary ones and for a positive end.
And if this couple, the Trentney happens, I would like it to be natural and step by step, and with Gwen and Duncan out of the series or eliminated as soon as possible, I do not want it to be born of petty or negative intentions.
I think of all the couples who have invented the fandom, Trentney is among the most possible.
I do not see anything wrong with proposing it.
And I emphasize again, it must be something natural, for example, they start with mutual displeasure, then they find pleasant points in the other, a friendship is born and then they see the possibility of something else, all in a three-dimensional way."
