well it depends i work as an artist in residence and i get to draw about 20 hours a week at work along with twenty hours doing other work, and i get in around 30 hours at home so in the neighborhood of 50 a week. that a good clip, i might to a little less in the summer when i can ride my bike and motorcycle a bit but i sleep less as well

Oh you boys and your toys My ex is a biker too.. this never ending winter (and public transportation) is killing him at the moment.

So you actually work on more than one piece at the time ?
That switch must be hard ? Or at least I have this idea, that it takes a while to get into the rhythm and feel of the drawings, considering the scale, atmosphere and level of detail

(and sorry if I ask too much - but the process fascinates me )

i don't work on more the one drawing, i cant change gears, but thats why i started experimenting with the iPhone it give me a daily outlet a creative jolt. The drawing im working on now "The Omega Effect" has been in processes of about 300 hours now and i don't see in end to it soon, and its one of three, they are for a exhibit in September. it will be a summer of drawing. Like every Summer. I also am working on transferring some of my iPhone works into encaustic, this doesn't take much time and is a great outlet as well.

Ahh I just misunderstood. I thought you had two different studios. One at home and one apart from that.

Looking forward to watching the (first part of the) trilogy. Will you be posting them here ?

Unfortunately quick snapshots and 1-2 hrs of drawing is all a single mother with a 4 and 6 year old has time for.....
Just out of curiosity..... How many hrs do you spend drawing on a regular day ?)
