Description I don't know I write correcty but you may understand what I mean. At least I hope.

When I watched Thor second time, I thought Loki attempting Thor to go Jotunnheim looks like some kind of test. It was evil plan but also he want to know Thor fit to be King of Asgard. And Thor decided to go fighting, Loki feel disappointed to his brother.

Well, it's just my opinion based on 2011 movie character. I want to see Thor comic books but no translation in my country... Maybe I have to search in Amazon.

Can I get a Loki facepalm over here? Β Thor is totally a predictable, arrogant, not forward thinking meathead! Β It doesn't take a trickster god to see that, but it does take one to get him properly punished.

This picture is so AWESOME!!! Β <---- slightly freaking out (you'll get used to it...or so I'm told). Β

Anyhow,Β  I think you got Loki's character spot on. And your artwork is amazing. I can't do realistic drawing to save my life, so when I come across pictures as well done as yours I'm more than a little impressed.

Thanks for posting this on here.

I think that is a good assessment, but I also think he meant to have Thor rule once he eventually matured enough to be a worthy ruler. As Loki had stated, he never wanted the throne and he looked both terrified and upset when he was made de facto ruler of Asgard due to the Odin's Sleep.

Hnn. I never thought of it like that. But now ... this could be really the true. It's a sad true ... but I think it's an idea.

Yeah. We will never know what Loki really thinks. Just my supposition.

Yeah, but it's something that would be ... logical. ._.

I love your artwork, I think Loki would have been the better king of Asgard, even though he is evil and conniving, I just think that Loki has the brains and Thor has the brawn. That is what makes Loki a better king lol

Loki will always be my favorite because of his cleverness and his mischiefΒ

TinaHu [2013-07-26 02:50:20 +0000 UTC]

That is exactly what I think too! Loki thought Thor was not fit to be king, and he was right. With out Loki's "evil" plan. Thor wouldn't have become worthy the way he had at the end of the movie. Plus there is no way I will believe Loki simply acted upon jealousy or hunger for power. He didn't really wanted the throne, if anything Loki only wanted Odin to approve him as a son as he does Thor. Which have left me thinking for a while now.

Why can't Loki and Thor both inherent the throne and rule Asgard together..... Β

It's very nice, and close about what I think happened. If I like heroes like Thor, I'll always prefer tortuous minds like Loki.

I'm glad you have same opinion about that scean. Loki is very complicated character so I can't call him "just a villain".

Tom Hiddleston played that scene so incredibly well - you could really *see* Loki's thoughts, that he wanted to test Thor and that he already knew he would take the bait without a flicker of thought. Not the king of king you would want to have ruling you.

Mushstone In reply to SweetsAndCharades [2012-05-21 07:06:00 +0000 UTC]

Yes. Tom Hiddleston's loki is best of best! In that scene, He already knew he would take the bait but there is very little bit of maybe-I hope.

Damnit, you two! Between the two of you, you'd have made great kings over Asgard! Loki can do the thinking, and Thor can do the social bit ...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 0

ShyMagical [2011-12-18 06:37:59 +0000 UTC]

I've seen a lot of people thinking he did it because he didn't think Thor was ready or because he wanted to be the King. He said in the end that he only wanted to be Thor's equal...so I have to wonder if his true intention was that he didn't want Thor to get out of reach before he could surpass him. I don't think he realized Odin would actually *banish* Thor either...and he was a bit unbalanced because of that...especially when he realized just how *better* things were for him when Thor wasn't *there*. I'm sure there was also a guilt there about enjoying himself that twisted him inside too.

Either way, I hope there is snarkery or at least a bit of trolling in Avengers.

Loki clearly was planning on Thor going to Jotunnheim from the start. And he knew he was going to. He didn't decide at that moment. It was all part of his plan.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Mushstone In reply to Spaghett [2011-06-29 11:35:56 +0000 UTC]

Yes. I agree it is Loki's plan all alone.
But in the movie Loki have some kind of softness, so he wanted his plan failed somewhere in his mind. It's just my opinion.

happiandi In reply to Angilram [2011-06-18 03:39:18 +0000 UTC]

but he did learn his lesson at the end of the movie and was willing to sacrifice being with the girl he loved on earth in order to save the ice realm!

Angilram In reply to happiandi [2011-06-18 09:40:12 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, but they handled the transition poorly in the movie, it was rushed up so it lost credibility in my mind. All they needed was one or two minutes of "on earth" images sequence to show he spent time with humans/girl. I liked the movie because I'm a Marvel fan, but I still didn't invest any emotions in the Thor/Portman relationship because of that.
