Haha, I just finished watching it! How cute. But now that Discord is *slightly* good, the better bring back Sombra. I really want more of him on the screen.

Discord should not have reformed. the writers are putting the message above characterization and logic. Discord is a soulless monster. and they already killed off a villain before. you can't kill one villain and then say that the other ones are gonna be reformed.

I'm not sure turning Dischord into a statue again is considered killing him. So how do you kill Dichord.

I wouldn't consider him "soulless". He was a spirit of chaos, yes, but his actions were driven through personal interest, rather than maniacal intentions. He wasn't necessarily "evil" like the other villains of the series but an entity that is the definition of chaos. Think "Q" from Star Trek. Not good or evil. Just one hell of a manipulative bastard that does things for kicks (but is above harming/imprisoning/turning people to stone).
His reformation was a bit rushed in this episode, but it also made sense. Fluttershy had the most impact on him in the episode they met (being practically a patient and immovable emotional rock against the chaotic and unstoppable force of Discord's temperament), and her kindness towards the creature that could hardly faze her with his words then effected him once again.
Think of his newly forged friendship with Fluttershy as another one of his selfish desires, except this time, in order to keep it, he has to sacrifice the thing he loves most... his "way"... at least "most of the time".
He's still Discord in the end, and chances are, he's still going to turn things upside down every now and then... Just like Q...

no. he was a monster. he mentally raped the ponies and Celestia and Fluttershy are morons to forgive him.

He "mentally raped" them in order to split up the elements of harmony (which, by the way, where his immediate threat which would seal him in his prison again. If they aren't together, then they won't work). He didn't exactly have any personal qualms with them (except maybe Celestia). They were just in his way.
As for Celestia, i don't know about you, but she clearly doesn't trust him. The only reason why she had him released is because she needs his magic.
Fluttershy didn't trust him either (even going so far to admit she knows EXACTLY that Discord was doing everything he can to bring her grief and drive a wedge between her and her friends), but was willing to put up with him and try to befriend him to pacify his excessively selfish nature.

no, Fluttershy should have stuck to her guns. Celestia clearly told the ponies last time that he was a horrible tyrant in the far past. just like King Sombra.

King Sombra was a monster that enslaved ponies to do his bidding. Discord just let anarchy reign supreme while he watched the chaos. Sombra was directly harming the ponies through utter malice, while Discord was merely having some fun, indirectly causing his "subjects" grief. He took a more active role against the Elements because, again, they were his direct threat and needed to be separated if he had any hope in keeping his wishes fulfilled. If Discord was truly a monster, he would have tried to imprison or outright "remove" the Element bearers (which Sombra did with Twilight when she was grabbing for the Crystal Heart). He didn't, cause that's not his nature.

He didn't enjoy the misery. He enjoyed the fighting, the unpredictability, the conflicted emotions and conflicted minds. He enjoyed the reactions of those who saw something new and grand and terrible and bizarre all at once. The misery and suffering was an after effect of the madness, but the chaotic show he got to see in the grand scheme out weighed and outshone the despair. Besides, Discord is oblivious to emotion, even his own (aside from joy and fury).

no, he likes the misery and cruelty. he flat out said that he wanted Fluttershy to be cruel and he was sickened by her kindness.

He said, and i quote "Oh, for goodness sake! You've been kind for far too long, my dear. Time to be cruel. Arrivederci!" He never said anything about being "sickened by her kindness". That, and he was excessively frustrated that out of all of the ponies, Fluttershy was the most resistant to his influence.
Let's not forget that she's an ELEMENT of HARMONY. As in, one of the few that is a direct threat to his plans? He needed to drive them all apart, otherwise his fun would come to a swift end (it did anyway due to his arrogance). If he doesn't have to "attack" someone, he won't. Unlike other villains, who will go out of their way to actually do some harm.

motives aside, he still enjoyed it. and if he didn't like her being kind, then Fluttershy being the one to reform him makes even less sense.

He never said anything about liking or disliking Fluttershy being kind. He said that she was "kind for far too long". He wanted to have her bend to his will so that her element would be useless against him. That was the plot. It was never about him hating her, or enjoying her torment. It was about making them no longer a threat so that he was free to do as he pleased.
He was about to do the same thing too in the recent episode, even going so far as to use Fluttershy's friendship as a weapon to make sure that the elements could not be used on him. But, in the end, even though he was being selfish about it, trying to manipulate the situation to his approval, actually believed Fluttershy was being genuine about being a friend, despite all of his attempts to manipulate her and cause a little chaos around her. He only really started to appreciate it when he found out that he was about to loose his only genuine friend due to his self absorbed and destructive nature.
And, to make things even grander, this opens up the window to explore what discord may do to strengthen or jeopardize his only friendship.

Oh, save it dude. I already explained why he was attacking the elements, and i figured out your sordid little schemes, going from image to image, arguing with people about this episode who honestly believe that the character has room for development beyond being a villain.
You sir, are nothing but a troll that can't get beyond the fact that this is a kids show, and they wanted to try something a little bit different with one of the major villains. Grow up.

They don't have to show anything from the start. That's how character developement works. He progresses as a character dependent on the circumstances. He took his first step when he was offered a choice between he desires for Chaos, and the desire to have at least one friend in the world.
I could go on all day with you, but I don't have that much time to waste. Here are my parting words:
Good eve. And have a good life. Don't let a character from a cartoon consume you...

He's like a spoiled child. Nothing more, nothing less.
It's possible for someone to be the most heartless dick in the world but still feel an emptiness that can only be filled by companionship.
I highly doubt he's fully reformed - and if they do ever show him being a goody-two-shoes, it will ruin his character. But for crying out loud, having him be the smartass prankster with an actual sense of morality isn't the end of the fricken' ponyverse.
