As much as this would be amazing, I don't think the general public would ever truly be happy with just eating a pill for their daily intake. Part of the joy of eating is sticking that big slab of food into your mouth and enjoy the textures, juices and flavors. It would probably only be used as the ultimate in fast food.

oh wow. this reminds me of a short story I read as a kid....
its the future and people abandoned the surface. They eat pills. But a boy goes to the serface and meets a girl. They eat berrys togeather ^~^

wow. i laughed at the thought of trying to eat a pill with a knife and fork. but yes the concept is very true. you can live on eating pills and water, provided they contain to right supplements. cant imagine you being too healthy tho :S
