Description
This is Yenny (Dave Alvarez is the creator), a character from the comic Yenny.. you can see more at [link] . I am just getting a feel for the characters...there is already a model of Yenny, but I figured I'd try my hand at it to see how it comes out. I really like the fun curves on her...I started on this last night, and blocked her in today. Still a long way to go...but just wanted to show you what I was working on.More soon!

She's talented, she's beautiful, she's great and she's sculpting my Yenny!!!!!
It's incredible how Alena can sculpt every single detail of anyone's character. In my case I'm impressed because I draw Yenny very cartoony and it's not easy to get those features on clay, but Alena did!!!!

hey alena...did yaknow?...david alvarez told me to do my own version of yenny for the new series at komikwerks [link] ...to render a different art style way different from his....so who knows if you can be modeling that style in a near future too..lol..if you like to see the new style im planing to do with her on this ongoing new series...go to my linkand visit the "scraps" section..you'll find it on top row..its the first on the line...see ya later and keep the terrific job i love it!

she be thick and sassy... just like how I like my pasta sauce...
I like this grey more than the pinkish orange... looks more professional... keep doing them with this blend. Nice weight with this one too btw... the arms across the chest like that are very convincing of volume and tension.

Hey Mike!!! Thanks so much for the kind words!! It really really means a lot! Still a lot of work to do with her, but I really like how she's coming along. And I did this grey mix because I was told that its better to see detail and flaws...and I must say that is very true...really brings the character to a more professional look and quality in my opinion..I'm looking forward to more models in this color. Its still super sculpey so I get the same effects when firing..so thats good!
I'm still going through all the deviations I have, but I wanted to say that I saw your stuff and I really admire what you are doing with your art, seems like you are becoming more professional!!! I shall comment on them, I'm saving all of yours to do so when I get more time

hehe, Yeah I was just introduced to the gray aspect about a month ago and was afraid to try it until now and I must say I'm never going back to the pink color..hehe. Its just that I see sooo many details/flaws with the grey that I couldn't pick up on the grey! Awesome concept! Thanks for the compliment on the hair. I actually just rolled seperate pieces of clay and layer it together...Still a lot of work to do on the hair/legs/feet/and cloths. So, definitely a better render of this will be posted later on. Thanks so much for your comment!!

haha, NO worries there...Thanks for the comment! And as for the material, it is still super sculpey, I just mixed a small block of black and white sculpey 3 into the mix of a pound of super sculpey! It works wonders let me tell you!

Ahhh...good strategy, I can use epoxy sculpt myself.
It's like sculpting with chewed gum but it's half the price and works well as a two-part adhesive for filling in cracks or additional little add-ons.
Now I got to know, do you sculpt your figures out of solid super sculpey?..do you use a foil filler for the core?
