"I see you latah, Chary, you be good aright?" Ven said to her in a joking manner.
"Yea, jus' a bit nervous, you sure I be aright?" She responded, her voice soft.
"Yea, trus' me, you can do it Chary. Beside, it only fo' a few houas, Ill go by like nothan." Ven responded, a smile on his face.
"Alight, daddy, I trus' you. I see you when you come get me. Love ya!" Chary waved bye.
"Love ya kiddo, be good." Ven waved back and left, closing the door with a soft "chnk"

This was her first time alone at the nook, now that she was older and Ven had gotten a job, she could stay here for what the other gros call a "daycare." Alma was the main worker in this place, but there were a few volunteers standing around the room. They all seemed to have their eyes on two wynglings at once- and to Chary, that seemed nearly impossible to do. The wynglings of all shapes, sizes, and colours were all running around like crazy. When she would try to focus on a gro in her line of sight, it eventually got overrun with MORE gros. She just was not used to this.

She walked into a small corner, there were some stuffed runeboos, beaded coatalas, and thankfully- no real Puckoos. She found a book laying on the ground, so she decided to start reading it just out of general curiosity. It was about magic and magic studies, wow- she really wanted to learn fire magic, it just seemed so cool!
"Wow. Bein' able to breathe fire, mus' be cool! Though, it does look painful." she whispered to herself as she read.
As she reached about half of the way into the book, she heard a slight whine from across the room.

"H-Hey... please... please stop it. I didn't do anything to you." A dark blue gro whimpered.
"Aw come on, Leafy, don't ya want to show off your ears?" another gro snapped back.
"N-No please... stop."
"Nobody cares! Just do it!"
"No! I don't want to!"

Chary heard the blue gro getting more and more annoyed and scared, so, despite her horrible fear of conflict, she walked up.
"H-Hey!" She said behind the blue gro, barely being heard over the chaos of the room.
When she didn't get a response, she decided that was it. "HEY!" She snapped, which caught the attention of the fish-like gro.
"What do you want?" The fish gro snipped, obviously already fed up with Chary.
"Ya need ta leave them alone! They did nothin' to ya!"
"Oh yea? Who's gonna stop me? You? Pfft, doubt that."

As the conflict was starting to heat up, Alma heard the door creak open, Ven stepped in and waved to her.
"Chary! Your father is here-" Alma called to her, but quickly noticed the conflict going on.
Chary, hearing that her father was here, seized the moment perfectly.
"DAAAAAD!" She yelled to her father, who was only about 25 ft away.
"I NEED YA HELP!!!" She kept yelling.

Alma and Ven both walked up, the tall gros towered over the fish gro, and the blue one just slinked away while they weren't looking.
"What do you think you're doing?" Alma said to her.
"You betta explain yaself." Ven said after Alma had finished.
"Dad!!!!" Chary interrupted, "They were bullying me and a friend!! I don't feel safe with her around!"
Ven sighed and looked at Alma, Alma just nodded and knew what to do.
"Ill be okay, Alma got it covered, aright? Jus' come on. We goin on home."
Chary nodded and followed Ven to the door.
"Thanks again Alma! See ya next time!" Chary called and left.
