It has been way too long since I used real paint. This one was really refreshing to make (once I got back into the swing of things).Acrylic and Ink on Wood Panel

Great values in this piece. I pulled it in photoshop just to see it in black and white and it looks great.
I like the background in contrast with the chunky paint application.

Thanks Kevin. I am happy to hear you say that, because I was actually concentrating on value a lot in this piece. I realized that in a lot of my work I do not properly differentiate between cast shadow and shadow caused by curved surfaces, so I was trying to paint a subject that had both.

Yeah, it does have a similar pose, though Rodin would have insisted on having more contrapposto than is in my painting
It is an honor to even be mentioned in connection to Le Penseur though, I have always been moved by that sculpture!
