Description
In the loosest possible sense of the word. This is one of the "horse-like" critters I intend to model, or maybe just edit the hell out of until it is suitable for modeling, or just keep on reserve for a book I am writing. It looks nothing like a horse, despite the fact that I looked off a pic of a drafthorse for its basic anatomy, which probably tells you something about my abilities, or lack thereof... XD

Anyway, these guys are the horses of one of the worlds I am building. Those plates along his spine are made of the same material as nails/hair, only they're really tough. The three plates along the dip in his back (forgive me my fail terminology) are filed down so a saddle can be strapped there without being torn up. In battle, the plates on the neck, rump, and tail are fitted with metal plates of the same shape, which are screwed into the "nail" to reinforce it, and metal "shin guards" go on the legs. This one is a tame "horse" (need a better name for them), and the wild ones have longer, sharper plates, which tend to get a little cracked due to how they are shed.
