beautiful lighting here, the colouring is a nice contrast too, especially with the pale dress tones. Perhaps feels a little more on the "tired" side of tranquil though.

I think the L shaped pose she took best expresses the idea of tranquility and peace. Good work on the desaturation, too.
One think that draws the eye from the girl is the nasty reflection off a shelf (?) in the upper left. Other than that, great photo! Congrats

This is gorgeous.. I'm such a sucker for dance shots. I think you've done a wonderful job at capturing the allure of ballet here.. It's not about the backgrounds, for the location itself just contains hardwood floors, a bar, and a mirror, but it's all about the dancer. It's the soft pink hues that dance across a flowing skirt, and the floopy, rough toe shoes, the hair in the bun.. The glitz and glamour about ballet is all in the grace and beauty of the dancer herself. I love the black and white background, and the softness of her clothing, for this very reason.
You've captured the model here completely in her own zone.. Whether she's thinking about dance, the steps ahead, or what to get from McDonald's on the way home, the picture is obviously her in her own thoughts. Completely peaceful looking. It's almost as if you've captured her in a split second of pure relaxation.
Anyway, I adore this. But you know that already.

A beautiful shot with some excellent lighting, and selective desaturation. One look and you know what she feels.
Such a soft, beautiful photo with excellent contrasts.
Reminds me of one of my photos, kind of makes me want to go back and perfect it.
