Did MTT clone himself while still in EX form because he knew that the underground needed a star...? Or at least... What was left of the Underground.

WARNING! The following information contains detailed, sad feels.
MTT was with Alphys when everyone evacuated. But, when the human drew even nearer... He cloned himself with some tech in Alphys's lab, and snuck away in the middle of the night, feeling like he was abandoning the only family he had left... Again.
Then, a look of panic crossed over his face. What if Blooky had gotten killed, and it was all his fault, because he hadn't been there to protect him. Physical attacks might not be able to harm him, but if the human had somehow gotten their hands on some magical attacks...Β MTT ran back to waterfall as fast as his gorgeously handsome legs would take him. He ran to Napstablook's house, even though there was some water seeping into him, and electrocuting him as he ran. He tripped over piles of dust, saying to himself,Β please don't be Blooky, PLEASE don't be BlookyΒ every single time. When he finally got to Blooky's house, he tried the door. It was locked from the inside. Hopefully,Β MTT thought to himself, that meant Blooky was okay.Β Feeling slightly more relieved, now, MTT knocked on the door.
Inside the house, Blooky was quietly listening to Spookytunes, hoping that the human couldn't hear if they walked by. When he heard the knock on the door, a stab of panic shot through him. Then, calming himself, he told himself there was no way the human could use magical attacks. He decided to stay where he was, and wait for them to go away.Β That's when he was almost sure he heard his cousin's voice. "Blooky, darling? Are you home?" Napstablook was shocked. He had been sure something bad had happened to MTT, why else would he suddenly go missing in the middle of the night? "Blooky?" the voice came again. Napstablook was sure of it, he knew his cousin when he heard him.
Outside, MTT was about to knock again, when the door opened, and he saw Napstablook poke his head out. When he saw MTT in his new body, he didn't recognize him at all. He was about to close the door when, "Oh, Blooky dearie, you're alright!" MTT tried to scoop him up into a hug, only to remember that he had recently become fully corporeal about a week ago. Napstabllok didn't know how to react. He was sure he had heard that robot speak in MTT's voice. Was it possible that MTT left out of free will? Just running off to try and become corporeal, like his other cousin? No, he had promised him he would never do that, and the thought of it left him heartbroken, to know that the only family he had left had promised not to run away, and then did. Without even telling him, no less.
MTT said, "Blooky dearie, I am truly sorry for having ran away. I only hope you'll be able to forgive me."
