In-canon, this particular application of facelessness is due to normally having a lot of stage anxiety to overcome - and with a little application of magic, product placement and practice, I can face the terrors of the stage without those fears holding me back.
It also gives a decidedly surreal atmosphere, as the usual banter and dialogue of the stage tends to be somewhat tempered without a mouth to speak by.
I don't need to use face concealer offstage, since performing little pieces of casual magical exploration in private with Penny is something I relish~ β₯
