BIOGRAPHY
Not much is known about the king- he has brought reformation in the treatment of moths. Giving them more rights, access to higher education and jobs. However, this wasn't without struggle of the Butterfly Elders. He's highly popular among the people and the youth of society, being the protector of his people but also the mediator. He is calm a calm and collected individual despite many of the elders being displeased with his actions. Despite them initially supporting power by bloodline. It has seemed to backfire as with each progressive reformation, the power has escalated greatly in the people. Especially with the minority of the Moth Folk.

He became more unfavorable when Bahuruta (sometimes called Ruta by the king, indicating their closeness) was appointed to be his royal adviser. Which normally had gone to those of high ranking butterfly lineage.

Legend goes that the king inherits the sacred orb of the gods. Which gives him god like powers. It's said only those with the ancient linage of the gods may hold this power. Any commoner would perish if they even came into contact with this orb. The orb resides within the king, and through either death of inheritance may it be passed down. Many believe in the orbs existence, but others have their doubts. Thinking its just to keep the blood linage in power.

He hardly leaves his palace, only coming out for ceremonies, speeches, and if the surrounding darkness that engulfs their city encroaches. His existence keeps the darkness away from his people, thus he is kept under careful watch by the ministry and guards.

The royals are worried that the king is without an heir. And are trying to find him suitors. However, it seems like he's always busy. Hidden away in his room. Only allowing his adviser to visit. Due to his long life span [Kings have only been known to last 200 years until their body decays away, due to the shear power of the orb], the emperor has been alive for nearly four centuries. This had lead many to believe that he is the reincarnate of the Butterfly god Rhopalocera, who gave magic to his people and protected them from the darkness by creating the orb of light and the barrier which surrounds the city.
