Wanted to see what else declined besides my newest deviation.
I really dont see why, becuase this is gorgeous, there nothing interfering with it(no powerlines, etc) and I love how the sunset has turned the field orange too.

Their reply was true enough, and pointed out all the flaws, which I am fine with becuase I don't mind constructive criticism.
I was working with a pretty old battered digi-cam with low batteries and no working flash when I snapped the picture, but it was still nice.

I like it a lot, it's so red! 1/3 plant life, 2/3 sky, a good balance for the photo. I wish the mountain on the side was a little taller but other then that good job.

The problem with the composition of this photo is that it doesn't have a focal point. Sure, the colors in the sky are nice, but it misses a point of interest this sky can give a good backround for. That trail in the wheat field is a nice start but it's not dominant enough.

Hmmm after looking at it for about 15 mins now I think I can understand what you mean.
I tried giving the picture 3 layers - field with trail, the sky, and the mountaneous background. I was lucky to find such a trail at all, but was hoping that it would give the picture a stronger effect. Otherwise the foreground would have been kinda boring. So a Focal point is there, but it just isnt dominant enough.
Maybe a tree would have been better? Thanx for your honest comment. It helped seeing my picture from another perspectice, and I hope it opened my eyes a little more. Cheers!

(yes, a lonely tree works almost every time! If there's nothing around, you could try to make a focal point from yourself.)
