Description
This is based on a doodle I did one day. I obviously had Rodin's _The Thinker_ in my head when I did it.

I later used the doodle as a template for this piece. I love Illustrator and using the bezier tool. But I get tired of the very smooth, polished images that usually come out of that software. I wanted to experiment with the brushes and see if I could create an image that looked like a traditional media sketch. I've yet to decide how well I feel it turned out.

I like ink illustrations that have this sort of quick feel to them. Like the old Jeff Jones ink drawings. I was also kind of trying to emulate that sort of look (without slavishly imitating Jones' style--he uses a lot more solid black than I did).
