Description
my attempt to convey a somewhat believable concept of a survivor of the generic zombie-apocalypse
(as far as something based on a zombie-apocalypse can be believable
)this one is equipped for a quick scavenging-run to the next mall.
let me know your opinions on the usefullnes/looks/whatever of the gear and the concept

Yep, nice one. Maybe too open on the front and right arm... But the tire piece and the leather straps are pretty cool and offer a nice protection. But you know, if those guys on Walking Dead survived this long being so stupid and careless, your girl have the best chances ever

well, i thought that you would want your "weapon-arm" unimpended by bulky armor. the tactic with this gear would be to let the zombie grab/bite the left arm and then smite him with the weapon. but yes, she should probably protect her right arm at least with some sturdy clothing. (but for the sake of the "sloppy makeshift-feel" of the gear i left her arm unprotected
the same applies to her front i guess.
as for the walking dead:it is still on my to-do list. i didn´t watch a single episode (or comic) so far :/

And for the show, it's pretty cool (sometimes a bit slow) and the comic is awesome, too bad they didn't keep the guy who drew 1st book, he was way nicer than the current one !

You are asking for an opinion. Well... hammer, torch, belt and tires pieces are cool ideas 
In my opinion not really nice: too much open on the front part (it's nice but not real), the metal piece on the hand is useful for doors, dont know how much with Zombies

Jaa, für den Torso fehlten mir die Ideen (abgesehen von einer langweiligen Lederjacke oder so). das ganze Konzept ist zudem ja eher auf beweglichkeit ausgelegt, da würde meiner meinung nach gerade panzerung im Torso-bereich behindern.
aber der Hauptgrund ist sicherlich, dass das Bild so meiner Meinung nach einfach besser aussieht
Die Brechstange wäre für mich ein unverzichtbares hilfsmittel. als waffe gegen Zombies würde ich sowieso eher stumpfe sachen wählen; du willst die Zombies ja von dir weg halten. wenn man dann eine Klinge oder Axt nimmt, könnte ich mir vorstellen, dass die schnell im Körper stecken bleiben kann und sich "verkantet"; dann würde man evtl. ohne einsetzbare waffe da stehen.
und zum Vorräte sammeln (ob im Einkaufszentrum oder woanders) ist es auch hilfreich, wenn man schnell mal einen Getränkeautomat usw aufhebeln kann...
