Ooh, I love the idea of Sakura in Naruto's jacket too! She looks awesome in it . I wish she had he own cool jacket . To be honest, I've always loved the idea of switching character's designs with eachother

Thanks Celia! I wanted to try something different, and this shows what to expect for the upcoming With You... well, in terms of shading and cross hatching. I want to try something different to make it more unique in the doujin.

I'm also working on how I draw Sakura and Naruto... I've drawn a pic of Sakura during a meeting at work to show this, which I will post today. I want them to look more like teenagers (as they should) and not so much older like how I have been drawing them. your art in Without You is helping me with this.

I'm glad you like this art Celia! and oh... like I mentioned to Mac, I may start a poll to see if I should finish the Staring Challenge Doujin in Pencil or continue with the tablet. Thing is, i can't find the time to draw it on tablet, but I can finish it more quickly if I drew it just in pencil... Like, completely done in a month or two finish. I just don't know what to do. I want to get the pages done for you guys and gals, but finding time is hard for me. It's funny how I seem to find that free time at work. LOL what do you think I should do Celia? 's doujin is done in pencil I believe, and it looks great!

You're very welcome This style really looks great and the cross hatching too.
And yes Natsumi's doujin is done traditionally but I guess she inked it with some Indian ink or something but since your sketches are very neat it's not a problem. Your lines are dark enough so everyone would see. ( not like mine ) But I usually find the sketch more beautiful than the lines done in Photoshop So I agree with you on that.
I do think many people will find better to read the rest of the doujin first but after that I might be wrong.

But if you start With You with this style from the beginning I guess there will be no problem with the readers Plus it'll be better for you as well, you'll work faster and you won't have to spend hours in front of the computer for one page which with your job and your family won't be easy according to me.
Do what you think is the best for you and we as readers will follow you and support you

Thanks Celia... I really needed to hear that... I know I've been going back and forth about coloring this doujin or I'm not going to, blah blah blah. It's just when I finally find the free time, I believe I can do it... then I don't have the time. But I can always fine the time to draw with pencil. I can have three pages fully done in a day with pencil versus one page an entire week (sometimes months!)

For the case on With You, i want it to be on par with your doujin. It may be different, it may be in pencil, but it'll be great. AND I can finish them quickly in pencil... I may just finish the Staring Challenge in Pencil too. Still thinking about that... I know some photoshop tricks to darken the pencils, and since I draw really clean and fast, it just may work out good.

I'm sure it's gonna be amazing !! The sketches you've done so far just look great. Now I don't know if you'll also add some background elements in your panels... it's up to you. But your pencil skills are amazing and I agree that the whole doujin will look just great even if it's different from mine.
After all this story is a new beginning, right ? So why not change the rest as well

Thanks! and yes, I'm a HUGE NaruSaku fan. You can see that in my Gallery, and my Starring Challenge doujin is in fact a NaruSaku doujin.

I have the next four pages penciled, I just need to finish it on my tablet. should be soon.

Thanks! I've just trained myself to draw quickly... ^_^ seeing that it's an industry requirement in comics (my dream is to draw comics).

As for the new Starring Challenge page, hopefully soon. I already have the next four pages penciled, I just need to find the time to finish it on a tablet.
