Excellent! I remember a friend of mine in highschool described the plot - your piece reminded me of that. All you pieces are very thoughtfully crafted. Inspiring, I hope to be creating as much. Great work!

ThanX SOO much for your thoughtful and inspirational Comment! It REALLY makes it all worth it! Sir Ian McKellan and Patrick Stewart wrote back to me saying how much they liked and admired the piece, as did Simon Callow! If you wish, you might check out the other painting and Drawing of " Godot" in my Gallery! ThanX again! Cheers!

The figure on the right is Simon Callow, who was playing the character "Potto"! He wrote back to me saying how he would treasure the photo of the work (I made a close up for him as well!) and that it was now a piece of history, as the coat was changed to green after the play's run in Newcastle! You were very clever to have seen that! Cheers!

I remember watching a televised version of this play when I was a little boy, and talking about it with my English teacher dad and reading specialist mom. It was a pretty interesting discussion, as I recall, even though I was only eight or nine, I think. The play and its concept has almost become iconic, a part of at least the western world's psyche.

I agree! I have seen it about six times! This production balanced the bleakness of the piece with Beckett's joy of the Music Hall. Sir Ian and Patrick played at times a little like Lurel and Hardy, to the extent that on their Final encour, they just threw their bowler hats onto the stage from the wings. Very effective. Cheers.
