a random original character named celise. she is a travelling mercenary who specializes in the use of whip and strategies.
the black cat, yami, is her mascot and pet, possesses special power which is yet unknown.

i think i got too carried away with the jewelry and details but this painting definitely helped me break an artist block that hindered me from creative work for a prolonged period of time.

pencil sketched, scanned, painstaking coloring with photoshop 7.0, stroke by stroke, not much different from oil painting.

but of course, digital painting method makes it less messy and easier to correct compared to the traditional way.

some strokes are quite big, such as those used to paint the translucent curtains. hehe.
