Description
When: June 13, 2017
Where: Diergaarde Blijdorp Rotterdam, The Netherlands
At the zoo, we made the rounds but focused on the young Pallas's Cat. Also, the Rhino calf but we kind of forgot in between the 1st and 2nd (last) look that it was there Luckily, the 2 are rather close, and as we were leaving to go back home, we saw the sign for the calf and made another walk by. We finally got a good look at the young baby, and what a cutie it was! Sadly, photographing Rhinos is pretty tricky, especially in a zoo, so no good photos of the little one.
But then, some kids were yelling: "Look at those baby Ducks!" and another countered, "They're Geese, silly!" And I just looked around, thinking they were kind of crazy when we saw this huge flock of Egyptian Goslings with their parents
They were so cute, and it had been a while since we got a good look at some of these babies. Their coloring is just amazing, and the way they bathed in the water, and then fluffed and poofed up on the land So cute!
