I've only read the first Philip Pullman yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaars ago, but Viktor Kravsanov, my oldest OC wasn't inspired at all by this, even this is a cool book. And the peacock is not a daemon but a magic animal able to sing memories of the Past.
