I made this for the 72 hour game development competition. I learned a lot about animation from doing this, even though its only four basic frames.. Im also not used to using such a low color count on such a big piece, so it was new stuff all around.Related content

Well it technically is more than four, just to make it look like hes not jumping in place... but for the original game sprite there were only four different images used to make the animation... yeah.

The four frames were well spent. You managed to give him a good motion throughout, though I would have liked an extra frame or two. Also, kudos on the colours.

Horrifically funny, but also tremendously well thought out; the contraction of the spine upon impact and the flipping of the hair, along with the concentrated look of effort on our hero's face-- you've got a very powerful grasp on what it takes to animate extraordinarily well.
