Description Wagtails are called that name because of their constant tail wagging. It has been suggested that it may flush up prey, or that it may signal submissiveness to other wagtails. Recent studies have suggested instead that it is a signal of vigilance that may aid to deter potential predators.

Here in Norway, a wagtail is standing tall on its legs and keeps balance with its tail

Wonderful focus as you can really make out details of the feathers and the background really makes the little bird stand out.
