I am a peaceful-warrior of sorts, silence to me is not the answer. and I must voice this:
When there is SUCH a magnificent piece as this - and the author does not EVEN mention the type of bird, where it was taken...but instead denounces how much they own the image - becouse This possesion seems to be so much more important than the element of the photo.
I get pissed, and it is my hope that pretty soon Nature will come out with its Own Copywrite LAW, and demand that photographers give Her the CREDIT

Dont get me wrong here, I understand your frustration and I really hope you could understand mine. When I google image search I find thousands and thousands of entries with my stolen images with no links, no credits whatsoever on all kind of blogs worldwide in all possible languages you can find on the nets, no permissions asked, nor granted, my images are distorted, unscrupulously cropped, awfully over-edited etc... when they are not used to sell other items on the worse cases. I would have to spend hours and hours to contact each web host to require the removals and I do in the worst cases... so for a second put yourself into my shoes, how would you feel if someone would print DRUGS on your images, would use it for their avatar or blog backgrounds, would end up in Ebay Hong Kong on a stupid mug or would be used to sell weddings cards announcements without your permissions?? I am asking you

I was so excited about the picture, I wanted to know whre it was taken, what Bird it was. The name of it.
and it just seems like there si such a "paradigm change" with the controversy, that the Main purpose which is to share the Beauty of Creation turns into another possesion battle.
But I understand, I somehow would have liked to share the moment. And know what these magnificent birds are called. And why was the tree so bright, maybe What is the name of the tree? and maybe the location.
Bring back the special moment that the photo speaks of, and not back to this Horrific society of possesions - deceit - theft.

These are magpies... you see sunlight on the maple tree, sunset light, and it is in France as i put it in my comments.
