Description This was the FIRST "proper" sculpture I ever made.

It was for a university assignment and made me realise just how much I loved creating characters.

Although I'm ashamed of how sloppy it turned out, I felt I should still show him off, I learnt quite a lot from making him.

Loki lives in a world where everything that exists has its own scroll which states what it is and how it should look and behave. He's a Storykeeper, keeping the scrolls of existence from falling into the wrong hands.

I was wondering, What base materials do you use when modelling? C:

Do you mean for the armature? I usually use just basic aluminium armature wire of a fairly thick gauge and then pad out thicker areas with tin foil or balsa wood, but that's just to save money on expensive polymer clay

I just really love the level of detail you dedicate to each of your characters (and their models); right down to their stories.
As far as modelling goes, also, are you self taught?

Thank you, it's nice to hear that you appreciate them and yes I'm self taught. I started when I was around 6-7 as a hobby and I just kept it up. I learnt most of my techniques through experimentation. Now I just study sculptures by other industry concept sculptors and try to replicate and play with any ideas I like from their work.

For the shiny eyes I just use any old gloss varnish that I can find
