Amazing work. The detail is awesome and you're photoshop skills far surpass mine, since I don't actually have any skills there. I'm assuming that the birdcage is what she uses to transport the souls that she finds? I hope so, because theres some deep "soul-like-a-bird"esque connections that can be made there.

Anytime...literally anytime. There are some other really great elements in the piece as well, but since you saw the birdcage connection already I'll save what I has to say. n.n

lol alright. well the reference photo is rather neat, but in your work there is some slight repositioning of the hands and how she holds the mask. It gives a sort of desperation to the work. Where the reference looks like she wants to keep the mask on, your piece looks like she wants nothing more than to be rid of it. Unfortunately she can't remove it [or won't remove it for some reason]. Maybe the horns are not the only deformation caused by her pact with darkness. it adds wonderful tension in that I want to see whats under there but at the same time I'm concerned for what might actually be under the mask. Its a wonderful way to describe human interaction in a way: all of us wearing masks when we first meet someone, a sort of first impression barrier to keep us from looking stupid or talking too loud, etc. But as we converse with the other person/people, we realize that we shouldn't have that barrier and want to remove the shield between who we really are and those we are trying to connect with. Its interesting that though the woman is demonic, she's a very close representation of humanity as a whole...
I think I just blew my own mind.

Yeah thats the type of things that happen to me as well...In class critiques and such people attribute all kinds of things to my work and then I sit back and say "YEP!" lol
Because thats what real artists do.
