It was the bi-monthly trip to Atlantis for Kaldur and Etty- Silas only went around twice a year since he hated asking for the magical assistance more than that, and it was a good experience for Etty to go with Kaldur to learn about Atlantis and her heritage. After all, the girl was three-quarters Atlantean. Silas knew that they'd head out after breakfast but he was still going to miss them for the entire week and a bit they would be gone. Etty had just finished breakfast as Silas scooped her up into his arms, into is lap at the kitchen table as she laughed at him.
"Daddy- I gotta get ready!"
"I know, but I wanted to remind you- to have fun, listen to your dad and most of all be brave to try out new things."
"I promise." Etty smiled at him as she patted his cheek. "And then I get to tell you all!"
"That's a promise." Silas offered back, glancing up at his husband, who was returning to the table, with a grin before looking down at Etty. "Okay, how about I hold you for ONE more minute?"

So I've had this idea for awhile but today it finally worked out to draw these three together. I love the idea of Silas and Kaldur as parents since I think they'd be extremely positive and nurturing to all they parent.

For awhile I figured Silas wouldn't go by dad/daddy (going for ba instead) but as I was drawing this I could see him warming up to being called dad/daddy since he always called his own dad 'father'.
