Is the scarf supposed to be braided hair?

I love your compositions

Yep. The best of all is the scarf. And the way she looks at the baby
Like it were weird, but totally normal, like a dog in a patterned raincoat.

That's a little... creepy, but what can I say... I love everything you do. My favorite part is how the hand of the one in foreground characters correlates with the pose of the one in the background. I also enjoy the texture on the tree greatly.

You know, I've been watching ya for quite a while and I have to say I'm enjoying seeing your style change and progress over the time I've known your work.

Hey! A pregnancy beats a stiletto in the pineal gland any day of the week, don't you think?

Besides, there is a whole new world which you see after you become a parent. It is a very enlightening experience (if you do not die of stress over the cost).

Oh, -- it is not a feeling.
Sorry if I mis-communicated that.

It is a moving to the next realm up of the mind which the child self does not access.

If you do not experience it, then you remained safe within the community of children. If you move to the next space up, it was your time to advance, and you will learn more and more about life and the world we live in. It is pretty automatic, unless you are stressed beyond noticing, which the Western life style tries to do sometimes, IMVHO!

No need to rush things, this process has been ongoing for many tens of thousands of years. It is just the soul's progress toward full enlightenment. But an actual occurrence, none the less.

by means of cherished...you mean...the people around you cherishing your whole being?

i think i'm stressed....and too young to experience it yet, since i'm having a hard time understanding it. i'm a seventeen year-old student in an art college...of course i'm gonna be a mixture of both

WCSallySally In reply to GABi2991 [2008-09-11 02:21:25 +0000 UTC]

It is interesting that you ask.

It is like that .. bringing children into the world (is like cherishing), because your inner self becomes part of the child, and as they grow, any you nourish and teach (hopefully) the parts mix and sort and some come back to you and some go on with the child! .. It is quite an elaborate arraingement .. and most likely very automatic, but I am a very, very introspective person, and I noticed this as my boy was growing up.

So, the act of child bearing is a cherishing act, in fact!

You encompass someone else and yourself within a new beginning .. and if all goes well, the end result will be a happy blend of both (without outside interferences).

And I am going to leave it at that; (OK?) and you can just make a mental note; so if and when you become a happy and proud parent (circumstances all being as best as can be) -- you can remember to be aware of the growth and developement of the new life, and the brave new future which you have begun .. because some part of you will go forward with it!

Life is "the" Sacred! . ... It is not some mumbo-jumbo or other bunch of convoluted imagine-ings ...

Life is the Sacred; but we seem to have forgotten how to treat it like that.
More's the pity for us I think. Maybe we will learn new ways in this new age!! I hope so!!

Obviously not a bus stop setting, but it reminded me that in a big city, you come into contact with some interesting individuals. Hehe.

I'm really digging the texture here, as always. The differences between the tree bark, the scarf, and thickness of the jackets is wonderful eye-candy.

I like the repetition of shapes in this - the ropey/liney body-bits feel. And I think the choice to put that tree there as sort of a separation was a good choice - as was shading its trunk as it goes down into the white part of background so it doesn't get lost in the background. The foetus fits so perfectly into the hood and there's that feeling of it being on the person's mind (lol; figuratively of course, but literally too as the case may be I suppose, haha). I love the way you work with sharpies. And, of course, I love your details like what you did with the tree (particularly at the top of it) and the bloody bits and such.

buttonsβ™₯ I love them so
