This makes me think of Watership Down and Beatrix Potter I like it, I really like the lack of a face on the fox, it makes it seem sinister somehow. I really love the contrast of detail and the simplicity of it, good job on this!

How is it that you're not working on many, many illustrations for children's books?

Lovely as always. Excellent design, great notan, and the linework/inking creates a solid value structure that leads my eyes easily curving across and down the picture.
