I actually bought them on Amazon. They're these 2" workman's suspenders...then I painted the clasps gold and painted the back diamond thing the orangy brown color she's got. The thin ones are all right, but the thick ones really make the costume look better ^^ I suggest if you ever get these to buy a pair of shorts with them, though. I actually went to a store and tried on jeans with the suspenders on...because unlike the crappy thin ones, these ones WORK. Well. So, you need to find a pair of jeans to cut up or shorts that are loose enough to not bother you XD

No prob ^^ The first version of my Misty costume was pretty uncomfy because I didn't have shorts that were loose enough around the hips and waist to adjust for suspenders. So, if you plan to wear them after the cosplay you may need a belt, but what the heck--if you only buy them for ten bucks or so (I hit up Old Navy myself), then it doesn't really matter if they're mostly cosplay shorts.
