I don't know why, but I'm getting a real Legend of Zelda vibe from this, particularly the from the knight in the foreground. Your description makes me think of an alternate timeline where Link, before becoming/being revealed as the Bearer of Courage, was one of Ganandorf's soldiers rather than a Hylian civilian. Any fanfic authors out there, take this idea and run with it! Just give me a link to the story.

Anyways, wonderful picture. The contrast between the dark colors of the knight and and the bright colors of the background are striking and awesome. Well done.
