Description North was already done delivering presents in Asia, and was working his way across Europe, he was right on schedule as always.

----

"Bed time girls" Martin said, "Hurry to sleep so Santa can come"

The girls all grumbled as they headed to their rooms and got ready for bed. Theresa went through the motions and got in bed right on time. Her dad came to give her a good night kiss and closed the door behind him.

Theresa immediately shot up in bed, knowing she could not sleep tonight. She had spent the last few days figuring out as many ways as possible to stay up later.

Earlier today she had taken a long nap, and now she was ready to do everything possible to stay awake. It was 9 o'clock, and the sun had set a few hours ago, so it was very dark in her room. She wanted to turn on her light and stay awake that way, but then her parents would know she was awake.

Instead she went over to the window and placed her forehead against the cool glass. Theresa watched the stars and moon, and eventually tried to count all the stars. She could she got to 100 before it started to make her tired.

Theresa yawned and rubbed her eyes, sitting down on her most uncomfortable chair. It was harder to stay awake tonight, despite how excited she was at the idea of seeing Santa.

"The sandman must be working hard to let Santa work in peace" She laughed with another yawn.

It was not long before she caught herself starting to drift off, and slapped her own cheek.

"Okay" She said quietly to herself, "I'll read something."

Theresa walked over to her bookshelf, she had read every book in it and knew they wouldn't keep her awake with suspense or anything. In fact they would probably put her to sleep faster, she figured.

She leaned against her wall, trying to think of something to do, when she remembered the book she had gotten earlier. She went and grabbed it and a flashlight. Sitting by the door she started reading.

----

North actually a head of schedule, having finished Australia, Asia, Europe, and Africa he was now headed though a portal towards South America, from there he would work his way up until he was back at the north pole.

----

Theresa sat and opened the book, the first few pages were an index, which she read through in full.

The book, predictably, had a bunch of Greek myths, the many legends of Santa, and even some Egyptian mythology. Theresa was quite surprised when she saw that it also contained the legend of Jack Frost.

"I'll read that one later" She whispered to herself with a smile, once again remembering the day she had spent with him. Tonight, she wanted to read about Santa.

It took her a while to read all the legends about him, and it made her wonder even more if he was real. So many places had different stories and traditions that all claimed to be the right one. In some places he left presents in boots, in others he left them in stockings like hers. Why would he change what he did, it seemed even more complicated then before.

Another thing that stuck her was that no one seemed to find it weird that some old man broke into their house in the middle of the night. If someone that was supposed to be fat could get down the chimney, didn't that mean that any thief with enough determination could do the same?

The legends did not answer any of her questions, and made even more. With a sigh she turned to another legend and was about to start reading when she heard a sound outside her door.

----

North had finished with South America and Central America, he was now moving through the United States to deliver his toys.

----

Theresa got up as soon as she heard the noise, the book falling onto the floor. She yanked her door open, and saw her parents.

They were carrying presents, small stocking stuffers, Theresa could tell. Even in the gloom she could see that one of them said 'From Santa' on the label.

She looked at her parents, who were clearly shocked that she was awake, hoping for some kind of explanation, "Go back to bed" Was all her mother said.

With a nod Theresa closed her door and sat on her bed, holding back tears. That was it, Santa did not exist. And if Santa didn't exist, neither did any of the others, after all, if they could lie about him, they would lie about a bunny and a fairy, or a man that puts you to sleep. Jack Frost must have been in her head, she realized.

I'm not sure what to post after though, so I'm going to ask people what they think, *evil smile* I also have an idea for something else for Jack, that would be mean, but I don't think many people are thinking about it...
It is SO worth it!

Oooh, fanfics that are mean to Jack are always good stories, you should make it! You made me curious as to what's floating around in your mind right now.

Heck yeah!

Oh, this reminds me, I hit the jackpot (again, pun not intended) last night at around 1:00 AM and came up with two story/fanfic ideas!! They can be my writing practice assignments! Yay!

Yep

Well I want everything next Just kidding, but if you're asking me, I don't know which I want next, whatever floats your little author's boat c: (And aaack, you're so evil XD But I would do that too haha)

Oh gosh, I know! It just has that little something, its so inspiring! I can't wait to write some stuff! I haven't written in a while to tell you the truth, and I might be procrastinating out of fear juuuust a little. Maybe. Possibly...

lol, I'll see what people say, if no one cares I'll do my other idea for Jack frost... I should write these down so I don't forget...

Pitch is staking you. lol, it's really good at making me think of my childhood, which apparently makes for good fan fics.

You really should. Get a notebook for idea-storing :3

Argh, I know. He's a jerk. Go give my cat nightmares or something. She's been looking a little too smug with me lately when I sit up in bed looking all choked up. :I

Yeah, apparently! Real good thing. <3 (I have at least one new Rotg fanfic in my messages every night, haha.)

I have one, but when I write my ideas down I lose the inspiration...

lol, just shut your cat down for a minute, that'll teach her! (don't actually, it's mean)

lol yeah

SapphieTaffy In reply to moonpuppy4 [2012-12-16 08:25:42 +0000 UTC]

Ahh, I know exactly what you mean! It's so strange though. o^o But this time it just made me proud that I actually thought of something, haha. xD

No no, very mean yeah. Oh speaking of which, my other cat jumps into the towel closet to lie on the towels on the shelves, and we keep closing it because we don't know she's inside. It's so weird, but she won't stop. XDDD

lol, yeah, same

Yeah, our cats like to sneak into the laundry room when we're not looking, even though they can get trapped for hours and it cold in there!

SapphieTaffy In reply to moonpuppy4 [2012-12-16 08:34:18 +0000 UTC]

Exactly! They're so weird. Ella got trapped in the cold, cement-floored utlility room AGAIN today. What the heck kitty.

moonpuppy4 In reply to SapphieTaffy [2012-12-16 08:46:56 +0000 UTC]

You would think they liked the cold, only I know they don't because whenever they manage to get outside in the winter... well, we don't have to chase them...

unrelated, I think I'm going to post part 5 tomorrow morning instead of tomorrow evening, you spoiled people XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SapphieTaffy In reply to moonpuppy4 [2012-12-16 09:28:49 +0000 UTC]

Yeah. XP Oh It's so annoying when our cats get out. We don't let them anymore because our Ragdoll cat Sala didn't come back home over ten days. It was winter, we think someone took him in their house. DX Luckily, when he wants to go outside or something, his meow is the most annoying thing ever. I chuckle (admittedly, a tad evily) when I think of how that's how he must've gotten out and back home.

Oh, yay! We are spoiled. XD

moonpuppy4 In reply to SapphieTaffy [2012-12-16 17:16:13 +0000 UTC]

lol, we don't let our cats out because we don't trust them or people! lol

It's up ^^

SapphieTaffy In reply to moonpuppy4 [2012-12-16 23:41:29 +0000 UTC]

Exactly, its the same with me and my younger sister. But our parents just don't like having to let them in and out all the time to stop their whining.

Loved it ^^
