Description Jack thought he might end up waiting quite a while Theresa ate, and was surprised when he saw her running out of the house, yelling bye to a confused mother not 15 minutes after she had gone in. As she got to the end of the drive way she paused and looked around, spotting Jack she ran up one of the snow piles that were surrounding the trees. Each pile was a little over two meters high, but she got up the steep slope in just a couple of seconds.

"That was quick" He said, "I guess you really want to go make a snowman."

Theresa nodded, "I usually only get to play with my sisters and only after school, if they feel like it"

Jack looked at the girls face as she spoke, she was obviously very excited to go do something with an other person, and he was quite glad to have met another person that could see him. As they walked back to the school, he got the sense that Theresa could jump out of her skin with happiness. He wanted to ask if she had any friends, but it seemed like something she would not like to talk about so instead he asked her, "So why do you believe in Jack Frost?"

She gave him a funny look, "Well you're right here in front of me, how could I not?"

"True, but if you didn't believe you wouldn't see me at all"

"So that's why Frank and them couldn't see you" She mumbled before looking Jack right in the eye and said, "I don't know why I believe in you. Isn't that the idea?"

Jack was a little surprised at the answer, "What do you mean?" He said as she pushed the button to cross the street back to the school, Jack did not see any other kids out yet so he figured they must still be eating.

"Well if I knew that Santa was real, I wouldn't believe in him, I'd just know him to be fact. But I guess I see what you mean. I guess I believe in you because" She paused as she thought and they got to the school field, "I like the idea"

She grabbed a handful of snow in her gloved hand and packed it tightly, with a smile she looked up at Jack and said, "You're right, it's perfect for a snowman!" She started packing a bunch of snow onto the snowball in her hand, and before Jack knew it she had a ball about the size of her head, at which point she started rolling. "How about you make the middle, and this can be the bottom?" She said

Jack shrugged and planted his staff in the snow while he started rolling up a mid-portion for the snow man. As he rolled, he heard Theresa humming 'Frosty the snowman' to herself, about half way through the song she stopped and looked at him. "Do you have any songs? Cause I can't think of any."

Jack stopped rolling the ball of snow, now about two feet across, and looked at her, "I'm not sure, probably not." She looked sad and tried to give her orb another push it was about a foot larger then Jacks, help but laugh as she put her weight on it, only to dig it further into the snow, "Don't you think it's big enough?" He asked, walking over to her

"If it's not closer to your ball, then yours will end up too big and he'll look weird." She said, giving it another push. This time it moved, but only about six inches since it was now dug into the snow, aren't you sad that you don't get a song like Santa? He's got tons and all he does is sit around eating cookies while the elves do all the work until Christmas eve!"

Jack wondered over and helped her push the bottom of the snowman towards his middle, "I assure you, that is not all he does" As he spoke he heard a bunch of kids coming out of the school, he glanced over and saw them starting games and stuff, but the four boys from earlier started heading in their direction, "I'll be right back" he said, grabbing his staff from where he had placed it.

As he got closer he heard one of the boys, the one who had not gotten involved earlier, he was a smaller boy with ginger hair, saying how he thought they should just leave Theresa alone and go do something fun. The brown haired boy with glasses looked at him and was clearly about to say something rude, but Jack blew one of his magic snowflakes in the boys face and he smiled.

"Yeah, you're right Travis" He said, grabbing a handful of snow, "Actually lets make snowmen, I bet we can make a better one then dummy over there!"

"I bet I can make a better one then you" The blond one said, grabbing an armful of snow.

Jack shrugged, they were still making fun of Theresa but at least now they would leave her alone for a bit and just have some real fun. He heard them making jabs at each other as he walked back towards Theresa, who was trying, and failing, not to stare.

"How did you do that?" She asked wide eyed, "I thought all you could do was snow and frost and stuff"

"Most legends you guys hear aren't exactly right" Jack said as the pair started pushing the snowball again, "For example, it's not elves who make the toys, it's yetis"

"Really? That's cool!" She said. They stopped talking as they rolled the ball right up to the middle, it was now about three and a half feet across, "Maybe it is too big" She said as she looked at the middle part and the bottom next to each other, "It's going to be really hard to get the middle on" She started trying to lift the middle onto the bottom by herself and almost fell over before Jack caught it and helped.

"You're not used to getting help with this stuff, are you?" Jack said as they lifted the middle and started patting snow where the two parts connected to keep them together.

"No, my only friends are Tina who's Franks step-sister, Marie, who I think only hangs out with me because of Tina, and Joy, but she's better friends with the other two and they don't like playing with me too much cause all their other friends don't like me." The smile that had been on Theresa's face the whole time they were building the snowman started to slip away, "My sisters are all older then me and have their own friends to hang out with, and April and Arlene are already in Junior high. I'm the only one that still goes home for lunch, even though Daisy still goes to school here"

"Oh" Was all Jack could say, "Well, lets finish this snowman, isn't your break over soon?"

Theresa looked at the watch under her coat sleeve, "Only another minute!" She sighed, "Oh well, I can finish him later" She looked up at Jack, "I know you're just being nice cause you feel sorry for me, so thanks, but I'm fine and don't want pity. I want a real friend and I know you must be busy no matter what you might say. I'll be fine" As she finished talking the bell rang and she walked back towards her classes door, careful to stay well away from the other kids.

"That's not quite right kid" Jack said as she walked away. He saw her wave at a group of three girls, probably the 'friends' she had talked about and saw how two of them laughed when she looked away.

(then we are in the same time zone XD) I torture you because I can... also, be prepared to be mad at some nameless people in the next part. It's finally getting to the memory that inspired this whole thing in the first place!

Well it's only 20.5 hours now, depending on when I upload it, also, decided to throw a new character into the story, cause I can. I thought this would be the last part, before writing an epilogue type thing, how wrong I was I foresee maybe two or three more parts before an epilogue. I think you will hate how I end the next part XD

Yeah, and I may or may not do a tribute for Bunny, Tooth, and/or North, depends on what I think up, North is the most likely to show up next cause I already have an idea, though it would be a bit sad...

SapphieTaffy In reply to moonpuppy4 [2012-12-09 03:42:23 +0000 UTC]

This is getting more interesting. X3 Sad makes for a good story (well.. sometimes.) All the ROTG fanfics I cry to are all with Jamie growing up and/or dying ;n;

Yeah, people like that for some reason, but no, the thing for North is again based inspired by a few memories, like the Jack Frost one.

.... the memory it's based on is when I found out Santa wasn't real, but still refused to stop believing, and still do. It would probably not be as long as this Jack one is going to end up being, but originally this was supposed to be a one shot, it just ran away with me, and I'm getting dragged along for the ride.

Aww, memories like that are always sad. DX But i'm still excited to see what you turn it into. That memory for me was blunt and rude. At least we don't let people ruin our beliefs. I'm glad it continued! (And that you let it drag you along xD)

lol yeah, I'm happy to be carted along with this story. Thinking about it, the North story is likely to only be a one shot, as there is not much I can really do with it...

Yeeeah, sometimes it is inevitable, but one could hope, haha. As long as it's still a nice, well written story, it doesn't matter how long that something is! ^^

moonpuppy4 In reply to SapphieTaffy [2012-12-09 06:54:00 +0000 UTC]

I've already written it XD maybe i'll post it after part 4 of the Jack frost thing to make you guys wait longer for part 5 XD and just be evil. No, I won't. I'll post my North thing after Jack is done...
