Description Toothina, the tooth fairy, has a simple job, as far as kids are concerned. To the average child they see the tooth fairy as a creature that takes their lost teeth and leaves money in it's place. They do not know that she is really taking the teeth to protect the memories inside. They don't realize how important the teeth are.

She is a Guardian of childhood, she protects children. Just like the Easter bunny, the sandman, Santa, and Jack Frost, she does her best for children. She protects the important childhood memories and makes sure to take good care of the teeth.

However, most people do not think beyond that. They see her as the one that is there when they lose their teeth. Most people almost forget about her after they lose their last tooth. To them she no longer matters.

However she has a job that lasts longer then anyone knows. For it is not when you are a child that your memories mean a lot, they are still forming. It is very rare for someone that is 5, 10, or even 15 years old to truly need her help to remember the good times.

People need her when they are an adult. When they are starting a family of their own, or getting a new job. They need her when they are asking a man or woman to join them in marriage. They need her as they grow, so they do not forget what it was like when life was simple.

She protects memories and keeps them safe. She keeps an eye on the world and gives people a reminder when they need it.

If someone is talking to a child that is being 'impossible' she send them a memory of when they were that age, and were just like the child.

When someone is fired and is starting to think that it is all hopeless, she sends them a memory of when they were a fire fighter, pilot, police man, and thief, all in one day.

Her army of hummingbird like faeries make sure that everyone is looked after, not just the children.

As people grow they stop believing in the guardians.

They no longer go to egg hunts on Easter, they stop receiving presents from Nicholas St. North. They grow to complain of the cold and snow, instead of playing in it.

The Sandman and the Tooth fairy are the ones that stay forever. Even as belief fades.

Toothina gives them reminders as they complain about Christmas shopping how happy they were as children, trying to stay awake to see Santa.

She sends them memories of building snowmen and forts, instead of endlessly wishing for Spring.

When Spring comes she reminds them how happy they used to be to plant flowers or play in the grass, instead of now when they only think of allergies and bugs.

She reminds them of when they chased every rabbit on Easter, thinking it would give them more chocolate.

When it becomes Summer and adults can only think of how hot it is, she sends them memories of camping and the beach.

Through fall when they are raking leaves she reminds them of when they jumped in the piles, or climbed the colourful trees.

The Sandman visits in the night, to turn these memories to dreams, and make sure people never forget that sleep is as sweet as when they were children and flew through the sky nightly.

But unlike the other Guardians who are only there at night, or when they are kids. Toothina is with people from the moment they lose their first tooth and place it under their until they die, remembering the times they spent with friends and family.
