Jamie woke up with a stretch, his mother had called for him a few minutes ago and he needed to get ready for school. His sister was lucky, in his opinion, since she didn't have to go to school.

With a sigh he got dressed, at least school was almost over, he could sleep in during the summer. Looking at his wall he happened to see the picture he had drawn earlier in the year. It was from his awesome sled ride with Jack Frost, who had been added into the picture.

He laughed a bit, thinking of the Guardians. He wanted to see them again, but knew it was unlikely that he would see any of them in the near future. None of them had loose teeth, and it was only May.

As Jamie finished getting dressed he headed downstairs to get some cereal, starting his day as usual.

Monty was already up, had gotten dressed, eaten, and brushed his teeth. Whenever he brushed his teeth now, he couldn't help but think of the tooth fairy. Some days he would forget to floss, and when his mother asked him if he had it was hard to hold back a laugh.

It felt like life should have changed after they met the guardians; after all not many can claim to have stood up to the boogieman with Santa and the Easter Bunny?

However as Monty packed his books into his school bag he was ever aware that life was just the same as always. It seemed more boring now, he wished he could go for a ride in North's sleigh.

Cupcake didn't like waking up. She knew that no kid wanted to get up in the morning, but she really didn't like it now. She always dreamed that she was with the Guardians, and loved it. Often she would go riding on unicorns with the Sandman or fly with Jack Frost and the Tooth fairy.

She couldn't complain though, she had more friends now and her life was great. While normal life might not have changed much, it had changed just enough to make Cupcake happy.

Before Jack had come and hit her with that magic snowball she hadn't had many friends. Her size had made people scared of her. Now she had a ton of friends.

With that thought Cupcake got out of her bed and started getting dressed.

While most of her friends were still getting out of bed, Pippa was already outside walking in the forest near her house. She was always the first one up of the group, even before Monty.

Pippa loved the morning air, so she always walked around for a while while most kids were still waking up. She stopped by Jamie's house on her way to school every morning, and today was no exception.

At the moment she was leaning against his fence, near the loose board he insisted on using as a door. Even though most people would say it was far too warm out for a hat, she was still wearing her white cap. It was her favorite for a number of reasons; one of the most recent ones being that it made her think of Jack Frost and the other Guardians.

Soon Jamie would come out of his house, and they would be on their way to school. The kids had all brought their swim suits and planed to go to the lake after school, it would be fun.

The twins, Caleb and Claude, always left at the same time. Right now Caleb was waiting for his brother to finish brushing his teeth.

"Why are you so slow?" Caleb asked, impatiently, as Claude finally left the bathroom.

"Maybe you're just to fast" His brother countered, and they joked around with each other as they walked to the school.

All the kids were in the same class, so whenever the teacher left they would joke around. At recess they played a ton of games.

They all had different opinions about school, Pippa and Monty didn't mind it, the others had varying degrees of dislike; but whatever they thought of the endless lessons never mattered during the last few minutes of class.

"I want you to do questions 5 threw 10 on the worksheet for tomorrow." Their teacher said, as all her kids were already starting to pack up. None of the kids were listening so the teacher spoke up and added, "I'll be checking them, for marks." At that point she saw the kids that had been about to place the worksheet in their desks into their school bags.

Finally the bell rang and the group ran out the door as fast as they could. They raced to the lake, at any point along any of the kids were a the front. No one was quite sure who really came in first as they all slowed down as the neared the lake. Ripping off their cloths to reveal the swim suits underneath, they all started diving in. Except Monty, who had to make sure his glasses were safe before joining the others.

The group started having contests to see who could hold their breath longest. They had races across sections of the lake, Caleb came in first three times, Cupcake once, and Pippa twice. As they were in the middle of playing Marco-Polo Jamie's mother came up with Sophie and Abby. She was carrying a picnic basket.

"Who's hungry for a snack?" She called, sitting down on a log and opening the basket. The parents had all given her snacks to give to the kids, it was a small feast.

All the kids came swimming, they hadn't realized how hungry they were until food was mentioned. As they sat they talked about so many things Mrs. Bennett couldn't keep up, and simply contented herself to watching Sophie play, she seemed to be looking for a bunny.

It did not take long for the group to finish their snack, and were about to run back into the lake before Mrs. Bennett stopped them, "You have to wait half an hour, you all know that. The last thing you want is a cramp."

Jamie looked at the sky and rolled his eyes, "What are we going to do for half an hour?" He asked, really wanting to get back in the water.

Pippa and Monty had the same solution, though none of the others liked it. Homework. Jamie, Claude and Caleb groaned, as they knew that with Jamie's mom there and homework mentioned they no longer had a choice. Cupcake sighed, and they all sat down to work.

It took a little over half an hour to finish their homework, as they had had some from two subjects. This just meant they could get back in to water immediately after finishing. They played for a long time, with Mrs. Bennett leaving soon after they had gotten back in the water. Before they knew it their parents were coming to tell them to get home so they could wash up for dinner.

The twins had to leave first, around 5, and by 6 they had all gone home to eat. Before any of them had left they had decided that since it was supposed to be raining the next day they would spend the day at Monty's house.

Later that night all the kids were getting ready for bed, they had brushed and flossed, not wanting to disappoint Tooth when their teeth fell out. Now they were all waiting for their nightly visits from the sandman.

Sophie and Jamie were tucked in tight, waiting, knowing exactly what they wanted to dream about.

Pippa was reading in her bed, soon she would put the book away and welcome the sweet dreams.

Monty impulsively checked under his bed before taking his glasses off and climbing in.

Claude and Caleb were tossing a ball back and forth between them, until their mom came and told them to get to sleep.

Cupcake was staring out the window, looking for the first signs of the Sandman. It was something she did every night. She really wanted to go out and talk to him, but knew it was a silly idea and always got into her bed at the first sign that he might be at work in the city.
